It's fairly easy, just gotta make sure you get the barrel nut cranked on to the right spec, then all you need are the keys they include to get the trunnion lined up, tightened up, and the probably tap the handguard onto the trunnion and install the screws. You can also use a Manta Tac Wrap, KE SHTF+ Wrap, or a Camo Form Wrap on any handguard which will shield you from the heat. However they also add the most weight. I initially had issues with the stock "shortening" as i shot, but once i torqued the screw down further, that fixed the issue.I have a new Smoke Composites 15" Handguard for a AR-10 DPMS platform. It was never installed on my rifle, I ultimately decided to special order one from them a little longer for my application. Smoke Composites does excellent work, this is a very nice piece.
